Privacy Policy for 2YTube

Last updated: 5 May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how 2YTube ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with your use of the 2YTube mobile application ("the App").

We are based in Australia and we comply with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where applicable, we also comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

By installing or using 2YTube, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Summary

In plain language:

The rest of this document explains the details.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the App, the following information may be collected by us or by third-party services we integrate:

2.3 Information we do NOT collect

3. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in Section 4.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles data; we encourage you to review them.

4.1 Google Firebase (Google LLC)

We use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Remote Config to understand app usage, diagnose crashes, and configure features remotely. Firebase may collect device identifiers, app interactions, and crash diagnostic data.
Privacy policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

4.2 Google AdMob (Google LLC)

We display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob uses identifiers to serve and measure ads. If you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, AdMob may serve personalised ads; otherwise, ads are non-personalised.
Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

4.3 Branch (Branch Metrics, Inc.)

We use Branch for deep linking and install attribution. Branch collects device and event data to attribute installs to marketing campaigns.
Privacy policy: https://branch.io/policies/privacy-policy/

4.4 Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation)

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with the App's interface (heatmaps, anonymised session replays). Clarity does not capture text you type into form fields. We do not configure Clarity to capture your IPTV credentials or browsing content.
Privacy policy: https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement

4.5 Stream providers and websites you visit

The App is a player and a browser. When you connect to an IPTV provider or visit a website, that provider or website receives a request from your device, the same way it would if you were using any other player or browser. Their handling of your request is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

5. Incognito Browsing

When you open an Incognito tab in the App's web browser:

Incognito mode prevents the App from saving information about your session. It does not make you anonymous to the websites you visit, your network, your internet provider, or your employer.

6. Children's Privacy

2YTube is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under the equivalent age in your jurisdiction, where higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

The App is rated 12+ on the App Store because users may load arbitrary IPTV playlists whose content we cannot control.

7. Data Retention

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

For most data we collect, the simplest way to exercise these rights is to uninstall the App — this removes all on-device data immediately. For data held by our third-party providers (Firebase, AdMob, etc.), please contact those providers directly using the links in Section 4, or contact us using the details below and we will assist where we can.

Australian residents can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at https://www.oaic.gov.au if they believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles.

EU/UK residents can complain to their local data protection authority.

California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. International Data Transfers

We are based in Australia. The third-party services we use (Google, Microsoft, Branch) operate globally and may transfer data to the United States or other countries. These providers contractually commit to appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect information that the App handles, including:

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the App or through an update notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
